EcoSave™ · EcoGen Energy™
Privacy Policy
Clear information about how EcoSave™ approaches personal and energy information.
Version 1.0 · Effective 2 September 2026
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EcoSave™, an EcoGen Energy™ initiative, approaches personal information used in the EcoSave platform. Version 1.0; effective 2 September 2026. It is a transparency notice, not a request for blanket consent.
2. Information EcoSave may handle
Depending on how you use EcoSave, information may include account and contact details; household or business profile information; electricity-bill values and uploaded bill files; property and energy-use information; assessment responses; connected-device identifiers, compatibility information and measurement data; Energy Zone information; actions, progress and preferences; campaign or partner attribution; support communications; and technical/audit metadata needed to operate and protect the service.
3. Why we use information
Purposes may include providing and securing your account; building your energy baseline and assessment; presenting insights and recommendations; supporting bill comparison and progress tracking; enabling compatible device measurement; managing campaigns, benefits and partner attribution; providing support; improving service reliability; preventing misuse; and producing privacy-safe aggregated insights. We aim to collect information for a clear purpose rather than because it may be useful later.
4. Bills, measurements and accuracy
Electricity bills and device measurements can contain personal or commercially relevant information. Important values may require your confirmation. Aggregate Energy Zone data is not represented as individual-device data unless verified outlet-level telemetry supports that distinction.
5. Aggregated community and market insights
EcoSave may develop community or wider-market views from participation data. These views are intended to use aggregation and to avoid exposing an identifiable household or business. Early or limited participation data should not be represented as national statistics.
6. Connected devices and technology providers
If you choose to connect compatible technology, device or platform providers may be involved in transmitting or processing the information required for that connection. Device permissions should be scoped to the function you choose. EcoSave does not treat acceptance of these Terms as permission for every future device integration.
7. Partners, campaigns and suppliers
A partner may be associated with the campaign or route through which you joined EcoSave. Partner branding or attribution does not by itself authorise disclosure of your personal energy information. Any future sharing that requires a separate permission should be presented separately and should not be bundled into the Terms. Supplier submissions are handled for procurement and technology-evaluation purposes and are not consumer energy profiles.
8. Service providers and cross-border processing
EcoSave relies on technology and cloud service providers to operate the platform. Processing locations and provider roles can vary. Where providers process information on EcoSave’s behalf, appropriate provider arrangements and cross-border requirements should be addressed before activating higher-risk processing.
9. AI-assisted features
AI-assisted support or analysis may be introduced progressively. AI output is assistive: it should not be treated as an electrical safety determination, legal determination, authentication of evidence, declaration of compliance, guaranteed savings result or automatic approval. Where AI processing requires a separate notice or consent, it will be presented at the relevant point rather than assumed from general platform use.
10. Marketing and optional permissions
Marketing permission, public-display permission, partner-data sharing and any AI consent that is legally required are separate from Terms acceptance. Optional consent should be off by default, specific to its purpose and withdrawable where applicable. Service messages necessary to operate an account are distinct from optional marketing.
11. Retention
EcoSave retains information only for as long as there is a legitimate operational, contractual, security, evidential or legal reason to do so. We do not publish invented fixed retention periods where the appropriate period has not yet been formally determined. Retention rules may differ by data category and may be subject to legal hold or other applicable requirements.
12. Security and data minimisation
EcoSave is designed around access controls, scoped records and data minimisation. We do not collect an IP address or device fingerprint solely to prove Terms acceptance. No online service can promise absolute security, so safeguards and access practices are reviewed as the platform develops.
13. Your choices and rights
You may contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection or withdrawal of an optional consent where applicable. The precise legal availability of a right can depend on the processing and applicable law. Requests can be sent to info@ecogencaribbean.com. Withdrawing an optional permission does not undo a transmission or action already completed before withdrawal.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as EcoSave develops. The current version and effective date are shown above. Material changes should be communicated appropriately. Privacy enquiries: info@ecogencaribbean.com; Bungalow 3, Whitehall, Saint Peter, Barbados.
EcoSave™ applies a separation principle: contractual acceptance, privacy information and optional permissions are not treated as the same thing.
